Ventura County is one of many agencies in the state trying to cope with the mounting costs of employee pensions.
Today, Ventura County Supervisors are set to consider a proposal from the County’s CEO which could potentiallu save millions of dollars a year.
KCLU’s Lance Orozco looks at the proposal, which calls for changing the existing formula so new hires for management, and non-union positions will no longer be able to spike their pensions using vacation, and sick leave pay.
