The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department Bomb Squad had to be called out to help deal with a live explosive smoke grenade found in the motel room of a parolee.
It happened just after 7 a.m. yesterday, on the 700 block of East Thompson Boulevard, in Ventura.
Ventura Police doing a probation search of the motel room found the grenade, which was safely removed by the bomb squad.
Christano Cardenas of Oxnard was arrested for possession of an explosive device, and Rocio Delarosa of Ventura was arrested on a drug possession charge.
