The United Way of Santa Barbara County is spearheading a massive event this weekend to help low, and middle income families with free tax preparation.
More than a half dozen agencies and businesses, ranging from the IRS to Santa Barbara High School’s Dons Net Cafe are taking part in what’s being called “Mega Tax Day”. Free basic tax returns will be done for families making under $50,000 on a first come, first service basis.
The Mega Tax Day event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m Saturday, at the United Way of Santa Barbara County’s offices, on the 300 block of East Gutierrez Street in Santa Barbara.
