The State Transportation Commission approved funding for three major projects impacting Ventura, and Santa Barbara Counties.
The biggest grant is for a million dollars, for maintenance for the Pacific Surfliner/Amtrak rail line between San Diego, and San Luis Obispo.
The Commission approved $200,000 for the Franklin Trail project in Santa Barbara County.
The money would pay for adding more than a half mile to the trail, two pedestrian bridges in the Carpinteria area, and some landscaping.
And, the Commission also okayed $125,000 for Goleta Valley Beautiful to plant trees at the 101 Freeway/Los Carneros Road, and the 101 Freeway/Glen Anne Road interchanges.
