Two people were arrested in Ventura County as part of the largest statewide operation of its type to crack down on people buying alcohol for minors.
More than 90 law enforcement agencies, including the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department took part in “Operation Shoulder Tap”.
Agencies used underage decoys to approach people outside of convenience, and liquor stores. The decoys asked people to buy alcohol, even though they would admit they were underage.
A Camarillo man, and Thousand Oaks woman were among the nearly 400 people arrested statewide in the all day operation on Friday.
