A coalition of 12 public safety agencies in Santa Barbara County is planning stepped up DUI enforcement this weekend, because of St. Patrick’s Day. The “Avoid The 12” campaign will have extra officers on patrol specifically looking for DUI drivers.
The campaign will especially focus on drinking driver hotspots, like Downtown Santa Barbara Saturday night, and Sunday morning.
In Ventura County, the Ventura and Oxnard Police Departments are working together on additional DUI patrol efforts this weekend.
