Posted on Thursday, March 15, 2012 10:38am

A San Fernando Valley woman has been sentenced to nine years in prison for the hit and run death of a bicyclist in Agoura Hills.

Prosecutors say Stephanie Segal’s blood alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit when she was arrested following the October, 2010 accident.

James Laing was riding on Agoura Road, near Liberty Canyon Road when he was struck, and fatally injured.

The 45 year old Woodland Hills woman pled guilty to a vehicular manslaughter charge, as well as to a count of leaving the scene of a serious accident.
