Ventura County, and Los Angeles City and County firefighters have contained a pair of brushfires off the the 118 Freeway, near Rocky Peak Road, in the Ventura/Los Angeles County line area.
The fires broke out just before 9 a.m. One of the fires was contained at around a quarter of an acre, while the other has been more stubborn, burning about five acres of brush. No structures were threatened by the fires. There’s no word yet on their cause.
