Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a pair of brushfires which disrupted traffic at times on a freeway near the Ventura/Los Angeles County line.
The fires broke out just before 9 a.m. today, just north of the 118 freeway, near Rocky Peak Road.
One of the fires was quickly contained at around a quarter of an acre, while the other burned about five acres of brush before it was contained about 90 minutes later. Ventura, Los Angeles County, and Los Angeles City firefighters teamed up to tackle the fire. No structures were threatened.
