Six Arrested In Commercial Burglary Scheme In Ventura County

Posted on Thursday, March 8, 2012 2:39pm

Investigators say they’ve broken up a sophisticated commercial burglary crew working in Ventura, and Los Angeles Counties.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Commercial Burglary Division tipped off Ventura County Sheriff’s Department investigators that the ring was working in the region.

This week, officers set up surveillance on some potential targets in Ventura County.

Early Monday morning, they say they caught the six man team in the act of trying to steal more than $60,000 worth of gardening equipment from a lawn more repair, on supply store on the 2800 block of Vineyard Avenue, in Oxnard.  Investigators say the men had disabled the building’s alarm system, as well as its surveillance camera system before attempting the burglary.

All six of the men are from the Los Angeles area.
