Fire investigators are trying to determine what led to a blaze which damaged an Oxn ard apartment complex, briefly forcing its evacuation.
The fire was discovered just before eight a.m. Sunday, on the 400 block of South D Street. Oxnard firefighters quickly knocked down the blaze, but not before two units were damaged. More than a dozen people had to be treated for smoke inhalation.
Investigators say the fire started in some trees next to the apartments, and spread to the building.
