A woman has been sentenced to 30 months in prison after pleading guilty to fraud in connection with the theft of more than a million dollars from a Santa Barbara County based food company.

Federal prosecutors say while Lisa Sackie was Vice President, and Controller of Santa Barbara Bay Foods, she misdirected payments from the company to herself, and her credit card company.  The company is a nationwide wholesaler, and distributor of gormet food products.

She pled guilty to two counts of mail fraud.  In addition to the prison sentence, the 48 year old Solvang woman has been ordered to pay $1.1 million dollars in restitution.
