The largest public transit system in Ventura County is making to changes in its routes, and schedules this weekend, to try to improve service.
Gold Coast Transit will add a new route which connects three popular Oxnard locations, the Esplanade Shopping Center, St. John’s Regional Medical Center, and Oxnard College.
Services will also be beefed up on two other busy routes, routes one and eight.
Gold Coast officials say they are also making minor time schedule adjustments on all routes to improve connections.
The changes go into effect Sunday.
The bus system carries 3.5 million people annually on its 19 routes in Western Ventura County.
