The latest crime statistics for the City of Ventura show increases in violent, and gang related crimes.
Violent crime was up 24% in Ventura last year, and 59% for gang related crimes. And, auto thefts in Ventura were up 28% in 2011.
However, there is some good news. The police department’s record for solving violent crimes is well over the national average.
