The CHP is looking for a driver responsible for a weekend hit and run accident in Ventura County which sent three girls to the hospital with serious injuries.
A mother was walking with her two daughters, and a friend of of the girls on Victoria Avenue near Santa Monica Avenue in the bike lane just after 7 Saturday night, when a car swerved into the shoulder area, and up a curb where it hit the girls.
A six year old girl suffered major injuries, and the eight and ten year old girls suffered moderate injuries. The mother was uninjured. The car, described as an older model silver or gray imported sedan, like a Toyota or Honda, fled the scene. Authorities are hoping someone will recognize the vehicle, which has left front fender, headlight, and bumper damage.
