Santa Barbara Police are investigating a trio of vandalism incidents in Santa Barbara’s Mesa area which might have ties to the “Occupy” movement, involving two banks, and a coffee shop.
Just before two this morning, vandals broke windows, and damaged ATM machines at a Santa Barbara Bank And Trust Branch on the 1900 block of Cliff Drive.
Then, around 2:30 a.m., an ATM on the 1800 block of Cliff Drive was targeted with paint, and graffiti which referenced the “Occupy” movement.
The third incident occurred just after four a.m., when someone broke out the glass windows of a Starbucks on the 1900 block of Cliff Drive.
Detectives are trying to see if all of the attacks are connected, and are looking for possible surveillance video from the businesses.
