Simi Valley To Consider Ordinance To Discourage Adult Film Shoots

Posted on Monday, January 30, 2012 3:03pm

One Ventura County community may take the first step in what might be a preemptive strike against porn shoots moving into the city.

The Simi Valley City Council tonight is expected to discuss a proposed ordinance requiring adult film actors to use condoms if they shoot films in the city limits.

The City of Los Angeles is pushing for a condom requirement for adult film shoots, and some Simi Valley officials fear that it might prompt filmmakers to move their shoots into Ventura County.

Adult filmmakers contend the ordinances would adversely affect their films, and are unnecessary, because the actors are required to take regular tests for sexually transmitted diseases, especially AIDS.
