A crackdown on the sale of alcohol to minors in the City of Ventura has led to three people being cited.
Ventura Police used underage decoys to target 18 businesses in the city, ranging from restaurants to supermarkets.
Employees of three of the businesses were cited for making sales to decoys.
Meanwhile, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department says it issued 14 citations at different locations throughout the county for illegal sales, as a result of a six month effort to monitor alcohol sales.
Department officials say a $65,000 state grant they received for this issue last July has also allowed them to provide responsible beverage service training for 61 servers.
