Police called to a Simi Valley home by a report of a domestic disturbance discovered a body of a woman in the home, and are calling it a homicide.
Officers were sent to the 2100 block of Lupin Street around 4:30 yesterday afternoon, where they found the body. Detectives say they learned that a man they considered to be a suspect in the killing might still be in the area, and made contact with him via cell phone.
Jose Esvin Escobar Monterrozo returned to the house, where he was taken into custody without incident, and booked on a murder charge.
The victim’s name hasn’t been released yet. Authorities aren’t saying what the relationship was between the victim, and the 35 year old suspect.
