Hollywood is coming to Santa Barbara starting tonight, as the Santa Barbara International Film Festival kicks off its 11 day run.
This year’s festival will feature more than 23 Academy Award nominees.
It opens this evening at Santa Barbara’s Arlington Theater, with the world premiere of the Lawrence Kasdan directed film “Darling Companion”, starting Diane Keaton and Kevin Kline.
It’s a comic, and touching story about a woman who loves her dog more than her husband, and then her husband loses the dog.
Kasdan, as well as most of the key cast members are expected to be on hand for the premiere.
Honorees during the 27th annual festival include actress Viola Davis, actor Christopher Plummer, and producer and director Martin Scorsese.
