Simi Valley Mayor Concerned About Potential For Influx Of Porn Shoots

Posted on Friday, January 20, 2012 12:50pm

The mayor of one Ventura County community says he’s wants to put out a “no vacancy” sign for porn shoots in the city.

Simi Valley Mayor Bob Huber is concerned that a new Los Angeles ordinance requiring adult film actors to wear condoms will prompt companies to move out of the San Fernando Valley, and into Ventura County.

The L.A. ordinance is still awaiting final approval from the mayor.

Simi Valley’s mayor says he’ll push for a similar ordinance for the city, to insure companies don’t start flocking to the Ventura County community.

The Valley has long been known as the world’s capitol for porn production.

Porn producers contend that condom use is unnecessary, because adult film actors are required to take tests regularly to insure they are sexually transmitted disease free.
