Authorities are trying to identify the body of a man found west of Ventura.
The partially decomposed body was discovered Wednesday night off the 101 Freeway, near the Ventura River bottom area.
It’s an area which is frequented by transients. Officials say there’s no obvious sign of the cause of death, and it could have been natural causes.
They’re hoping fingerprints may help ID the body.
