Authorities are now saying a 90 year old Ventura County woman was the victim of a fatal traffic accident in the Conejo Valley.
Floriene Hamel of Newbury Park died as a result of injuries she suffered in a traffic accident around 1:30 yesterday afternoon, at the intersection of Lynn, and Ventu Park Roads.
The woman was turning onto Ventu Park Road when she was hit by an oncoming SUV driven by a woman which was carrying several young girls on an outing.
They were shaken up, but none were seriously injured.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
