An effort to stop a speeder in Ventura County early this morning turned into a chase, only ending when officers used a pit maneuver to force the fleeing car to spin out of control.
It happened just before one this morning.
A Simi Valley police officer on patrol tried to stop a car for speeding near First Street, and Royal Avenue.
The car didn’t stop, and it led to a chase through parts of Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, and then to the northbound 101 Freeway .
The car got off on Central Avenue in Camarillo, and officers used the pit maneuver.
No one was hurt..
They arrested 39 year old Norman Salazar of Thousand Oaks for felony evading, and for parole violation.
