An Oxnard man is behind bars, accused of killing another man whose body was found inside of a garage on New Year’s Eve.
Oxnard Police say they received a phone call just after 5 p.m. Saturday reporting that there was a body on the 1300 block of West Cedar Street. Officers arrived to find a body of a dead 25 year old man inside of a garage.
Detectives questioned 31 year old Hugo Chavez, who was in the home. They say they were able to determine Chavez was responsible for the killing, and arrested him for murder.
The name of the victim hasn’t been released yet.
