A brushfire in Ventura County has burned about 20 acres of land between Santa Paula, and Ventura, with full containment expected at around midnight.
The fire broke out at around 1:30 this afternoon (12/22), in the area of Foothill Road, and Aliso Canyon Road. Aliso Canyon Road is only open to residents.
No homes are threatened, with the fire burning in a rural area of the county.
At its peak, more than 100 firefighters, aided by two helicopters fought the fire. By sunset, it was 30% contained. Fire investigators are trying to determine the cause of the blaze.
