A Camarillo man has been identified as the victim of a fatal traffic accident on the 101 Freeway which occurred in front of dozen of drivers just before the lunch hour yesterday.
The CHP says an SUV headed southbound on the 101 near Pleasant Valley Road was clipped by a sports car, causing both vehicles to careen off the freeway, and into a strawberry field. The SUV rolled, killing 56 year old Thomas Williams.
The driver of the sports car was treated for minor injuries. The CHP says it’s still trying to determine exactly what happened. The accident snarled traffic on the freeway for more than four hours.
