A fatal traffic accident on the 101 Freeway in Ventura County made a mess out of traffic for hours today. A car, and a SUV collided on the southbound side of the freeway near Pleasant Valley Road just before noon.
Both vehicles ended up off the freeway, in an adjacent strawberry field. The driver of the SUV was killed.
Freeway traffic was backed up for more than four hours as a result of the crash.
The name of the person killed in the crash hasn’t been released yet.
