A man arrested on multiple drug charges in Santa Barbara County didn’t have to be taken far to be booked, because the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department civilian employee was taken into custody on the job at the department’s headquarters.
Olaf Wierda is a computer systems technician for the Sheriff’s Department. He was arrested yesterday afternoon after deputies determined he was under the influnce of drugs. In addition to the charge of being under the influence of a controlled substance, the 41 year old man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
