Some of the world’s top golfers are in Ventura County this week, for the Chevron World Challenge, a charity golf tournament hosted by Tiger Woods.
Despite windy conditions, play started today at the Sherwood Country Club in the four day long tournament, which is being nationally televised.
Because the tournament is close to some European Tour events, some international golfers passed on the event this year. But, the field of 18 includes the 11 U.S. golfers who just won the President’s Cup.
