Santa Barbara County has received some major state grants for water projects in the county.
The State Department of Water Resources has awarded the county $3.6 million dollars.
$3.1 million dollars will be used to help implement seven different water supply, water conservation, flood control, and ecosystem restoration projects from Goleta to Santa Maria.
Another $555,000 will be used to update the county’s water management plan, which tries to insure water agencies countywide use water resources in the most coordinated, and sustainable ways possible.
