A tree trimmer in Santa Barbara suffered severe burns this afternoon, when he apparently came in contact with some live power lines, and had to be rescued from a tree.
It happened just before 1:30 this afternoon (11/23), on East Valerio Street.
Santa Barbara firefighters called to the scene found the man hanging upside down in the tree, suspended by his feet, which had become entangled in his safety vest when he started to fall.
The firefighters used a ladder, and ropes to secure, and then rescue the man, who was about 30 feet above the ground.
His name hasn’t been released.
