A woman has been arrested for the strangulation of another woman in Ventura County.
The body of Sarah Overholser was found floating in the Pacific Ocean off of Sycamore Cove November 7th.
This week, authorities confirmed the suspicious death was a homicide, and that the 32 year old homeless woman had been strangled.
Wednesday afternoon, Ventura County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Kristina Canell for the killing, but won’t release any of the specifics, like where the arrest occured, or whether others were involved.
Authorities are calling the 28-year-old suspect in the killing a transient.
