Ventura County Sheriff’s Department detectives are calling the death of a woman whose body was found floating in the ocean off the coast a homicide.
A helicopter pilot spotted the body of 32-year-old Sarah Overholser about 200 years off of Sycamore Cove on November 7th. Investigators say she lived in the county, but was homeless.
Detectives aren’t releasing details about the death, because they say it might compromise their ongoing investigation.
