Posted on Monday, November 21, 2011 4:06pm

A Ventura County teenager accused of shooting to death a classmate in 2008, in what was originally called a hate crime because of the victim’s sexual orientation has now agreed to a plea deal which means he will no longer face a potential life sentence.  KCLU’s Lance Orozco reports it’s a move which will avoid what was expected to be a second trial for Brandon McInerney, accused of killing fellow E.O. Green Junior High School student Larry King.
