Death Sentence Set For Ventura County Businessman Convicted of Ordering Murder Of His Wife

Posted on Thursday, November 17, 2011 2:52pm

A Los Angeles judge has sentenced a Ventura County businessman to death for ordering the brutal murder of his estranged wife.

James Fayed was convicted of first degree murder for the July 2008 stabbing death of Pamela Fayed in a Century City parking structure.

The two had been business partners in their lucrative gold trading business.

Prosecutors say Fayed ordered his wife’s killing because she had threatened to reveal information about some improper business dealings by her husband.

Three other men are still awaiting trial in connection with the killing.

While in jail, the Camarillo man was caught in tape trying to plot the murder of the other men charged with the killing, to try to cover up his role in the crime.
