A Woodland Hills man was arrested after Simi Valley Police say he passed counterfeit bills at several businesses throughout Southern California.
Detectives say they identified Rhett Trujillo as a suspect in August, when he used counterfeit $100 bills multiple times in Simi Valley. They started tracking the 35 year old man, noting that he stayed in different motels in the region to try to hide his identity. He was finally arrested at a Calabasas motel.
Investigators sat they recovered counterfeit bills, bill making paraphernalia, and some drugs.
