Bank of America has announced it will cut close to 200 more jobs in the Conejo Valley area in the next few weeks.
It’s part of the company’s shutdown of an arm of its mortgage business.
About 50 position in the Agoura Hills area will be cut next week, and some 140 workers in the Thousand Oaks area will lose their positions by the end of the year.
The company says it’s trying to cut about 10% of it total global workforce, which is close to 290,000 people.
Band Of America has had serious financial problems recently, much of tied to mortgages it acquired when it bought Countrywide Financial in 2008.
