Construction officially got underway today on a major new livestock center at the Ventura County Fairgrounds.
The new Judge William P. Clark Livestock Center will replace a 75 year old facility. The new center will be more flexible than current facilities, allowing for different kinds of animal shows during the year.
The goal is to have the new $3.2 million dollar facility completed, and ready for use by next year’s Ventura County Fair, which is in August.
