The Ventura County Sheriff’s department says a reconnaissance flight in the northeastern part of the county lead to a marijuana raid, and seven arrests.
Detectives spotted marijuana growing in the Alamo Mountain area, near Pyramid Lake. A team sent into the area discovered more than 100 pounds of marijuana drying on tarps, irrigation system, and a campite. Detectives saw from fresh footprints, and followed them for about a half mile before coming upon seven people. The men tried to avoid the detectives, but were trapped by a dangerous cliff, and surrendered after they realized they had nowhere to hide.
The seven Los Angeles area men were all arrested on marjuana cultivation charges.
