Authorities have identified a woman whose body was found floating off the Ventura County coastline, but the circumstances surrounding the death remain unclear.
A helicopter pilot spotted what appeared to be a body floating off of Sycamore Cove just before one p.m. yesterday (11/7).
A water rescue team recovered the body of 32-year-old Sarah Overholser of Oxnard.
The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office says they are still trying to determine what happened to the woman.
Authorities aren’t saying whether they consider the death to be suspicious in nature.
