Santa Barbara County Supervisors have decided to make a moratorium on medical marijuana dispensaries a permanent ban.
The board went further than the County Planning Commission, and the Montecito Planning Commission, which had developed a proposed ordinance allowing a limited number of dispensaries.
Supervisors voted 4-1 in favor of the total ban.
The City Of Santa Barbara allows a limited number of dispensaries.
