You may have a danger lurking in your medicine cabinet, a shelf, or a drawer.
Every year, thousands of people become sick, or even die from the diversion, misuse, or abuse of prescription drugs
This weekend, Oxnard and Ventura Police, along with Ventura County Sheriff’s Department are trying to help solve that problem.
They’re taking part in the Federal Drug Enforcement Agency’s National “Take-Back” Prescription Drug Program.
In Ventura, you can drop off old, or unneeded prescription drugs at the Ventura Police Department’s headquarters, or the Westside Resource Center between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. tomorrow (10/29), no questions asked.
In Oxnard, you can drop off old prescription drugs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow.
The Sheriff’s Department has dropoff locations available all the time at its stations in Ventura, Camarillo, Moorpark, Fillmore, Ojai, and Thousand Oaks.
