The Oxnard-based Gold Coast Transit District received a $15 million dollar grant to build a new administration, operations, and maintenance facility.
Democratic Congresswoman Lois Capps of Santa Barbara announced the U.S Department of Transportation grant. The money will be used for a new maintenance garage, an operations center, an administration building, plus employee locker rooms and a lounge.
The district provide transit services for much of Western Ventura County.
