A man suffered serious injuries when he ended up in the ocean at Ventura Harbor, and was trapped between a large fishing boat, and a dock.
It happened just after 11:30 Friday night. Bystanders spotted the man, and unsuccessfully tried to rescue him.
Ventura firefighters, and Harbor Patrol officers reached him, lowered him to a paddleboard, and then got him to a Harbor Patrol boat so he could be taken to shore, and then a hospital.
The man, who was in his 50‘s, hasn’t been identified by authorities. There’s no word on how he ended up in the ocean.
