Two commercial fishermen are safe, after being rescued following their boat running around near Ventura Harbor’s south jetty.
It happened just after 9:30 Monday night (10/10). Rescue teams from five agencies, led by the Ventura Fire Department arrived to find the boat grounded just past the surf line. Rescue swimmers were deployed, and found there were two people on board the boat. The two got out of the boat, and into the surf where the rescue teams helped them to shore. No one was hurt. There’s no word yet on exactly what led to the accident.
