Some South Coast schools are receiving close to a million dollars to improve health, and wellness among students.
The Ventura School District is getting just over $980,000 over three years from the U.S. Department of Education.
The money is for a healthy eating, and active living program called “Project Heal”, to expand and improve physical education, nutrition, and health programs.
