A Camarillo based chipmaker is closing one of its local facilities, and laying off more than 40 employees company-wide.
Vitesse Semiconductor said in regulatory filings that the moves were in response to decreased demand. The company has ended a lease on a building on the 4000 block of Calle Carga, in Camarillo, and spread the layoffs throughout different facilities it operates around the country. The company’s corporate headquarters remains in Camarillo.
