Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties could get heavy rainfall at times overnight Tuesday, into Wednesday as the result of a new storm system moving into the region.
The system is expected to arrive around midnight Tuesday. Rainfall amounts are predicted to be in the half inch range along the coast, and from one to two inches in the region’s mountains. The cold front is expected to move through the region by the morning commute Wednesday, but lingering instability could leave a chance of morning showers.
Thunderstorms are possible for Ventura County’s mountains through the day tomorrow. The snow level will start out around 7500 feet, but could drop to around 5000 feet by late Wednesday night.
