Ventura County’s health department is getting a big federal grant to help in efforts to promote healthy lifestyles.
The $480,000 Federal Centers For Disease Control and Prevention grant will be used for efforts in the county to decrease tobacco use, combat obesity, and offer other preventative services.
It’s part of a nationwide, $103 milllion dollar campaign to promote healthy living.
